EFF organized
another event in Soshanguve Ext 7 on April 27, 2024, aimed at motivating youth
to exercise their voting rights and educating them on the significance of
supporting EFF. The event featured Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, the national spokesperson
of the EFF, who delivered a presentation on behalf of the committee.
Mbuyiseni Ndlozi encouraged the youth of Soshanguve to go
and vote on 29 May 2024. Not only vote for just voting but vote for change, a
political party that will provide jobs for the youth. Turn the world into a way
better than voting for a political party that only focuses on their needs rather
than the cry of the nation. Where he concluded by saying that he's not saying
they should vote for EFF by force by he's trying to say that EFF is the party
for the youth. That promises to be there for the youth and make sure they get
everything they need since they’re the next generation to own the world so they
need to make sure they make the right choice.
Miyelani Baloyi one of the youth who reside around
Soshanguve said “Politicians have that tendency of promising us things that at
the end they fail to fulfil because after getting that position they forget
what they have promised to give back to the country, we as youth do understand
that its important to vote but they must also submit back as they promised us”
“How can they expect us to vote for them, while they fail to
provide us with jobs or good service, they only know us when it is time for
votes and also point fingers at other politicians instead of doing better than
them in order to convince them that they’re the best party to vote for, and we
do appreciate the little knowledge they gave us to know better how the votes
operate and how our votes contribute to each party we vote for” said Nkosiyabo
also youth from Ext 7.
Xiluva Baloyi also a community member of Soshnguve said “What’s
the use of us voting as a youth while they only make changes when its time to
vote, there are plenty of young people who got degrees with no job where else
they say we must vote for them how?”
The youth of Soshanguve seem not to take these launches as an event that encouraged them to vote, through their comment you can conclude that they are tired of fake promises that they keep promising when elections approach.
