Supporters of both Young Boys and Masizane were
treated to an exhilarating experience during the top 10 match, as the two teams
displayed outstanding performance, keeping the crowd captivated throughout. The
action-packed game left many wondering which half was more thrilling. With both
teams showcasing passion and determination, the stands were filled with cheers
and celebrations for every goal scored.
In a thrilling
match between Young Boys and Masizane on Saturday, May 10, the first half ended
with Young Boys leading 1:0 after scoring a penalty goal. However, Masizane
came back stronger in the second half, scoring two goals and ultimately winning
the match 2:1. Both teams played with grit and determination, making for an
exciting game. In the end, Masizane proved victorious, but the Young boys put
up a good fight.
After the match, Young Boys coach Ronaldo expressed
disappointment in his team’s performance, saying that their weaknesses lie in
their inability to maintain focus and intensity throughout the match. “I’m very
disappointed in myself this loss means that our techniques are not working for
the team and the player's weakness is that they relax more when they see that
they are winning, forgetting that before the referee blows it to game over, anything
can change anytime,” he said.
Meanwhile, Young Boys player Sfiso Nxumalo, who scored
the team’s only goal, was proud of his team’s effort and felt that they did
everything they could to win. He acknowledged that there were factors outside
of their control that impacted the outcome of the game. I’m proud of my team, we tried our best, but
it wasn’t our day and I think some official decisions were against us”, said
Sifiso.
Masizane player Nkosinathi Ononogbu, known by his nickname ‘Neymar,’ spoke about his two goals that turned the game around. He said he felt proud to have contributed to the team’s win, and that he believed in his ability to turn the game around even when things looked bleak. The team’s coach, Vincent Rommoni, echoed Neymar’s sentiment, noting that he saw Neymar’s performance as a miracle that saved the game. Rommoni said that, based on the first half of the game, it seemed unlikely that the team would come, “I saw Neymar doing a miracle that I never saw before because it was very clear that the team was not bouncing back but losing the game due to the good performance of Young Boys” he added.
After the match one of the fans said “The match was very tricky because both teams were trying their level best to win the game even though you can see it is tough as they are all well trained and ready for the game.”
