Africa check is a sort fact from fiction by identifying important public statements, interrogating the best available evidence and publishing fact-checking reports. Or can be defined as a non-profit fact checking organisation set up in 2012 to promote accuracy in public debate and media in Africa. Their goal is to raise the quality of information available to society across the continent. This organisation is an independent organisation with offices around the world and producing reports in English and French testing claims made by public figures, institution and the media against the best available evidence.
In addiction they also taught us how to know whether the information or link is real by manner looking at it and how to identify wrong information that is being shared on social media since now people promote fake information than the real deal, also their aim when it comes to accuracy in public debate and the media. Also the important of available evidence before publishing it, where they added by telling us about the importance of checking claims by ourselves than relying on people. When it comes to accuracy she even elaborated with pictures that some people do fake background and she also warned us about that, not to fall into a trap because of a misplaced pictures.
They concluded by telling that they have implemented resources to monitor and evaluate the output and how they track their unique visits to the website and the number of times other groups had published their reports.
